The Odisha Chief Minister has introduced a new scheme called ‘Soura Jalanidhi’ to boost the use of solar energy in agricultural development as well as empowerment of farmers in the State.  Under this scheme 5000 solar pumps will be distributed to farmers with up to 90% subsidy.
