This is Neelkhant from Bijapur district of Chattisgarh and a proud owner of a Rotosol Solar pump.  She’s one of the first women in her district to apply for a solar pump through the state government subsidy scheme.  According to her, having a solar pumping system made complete sense as it allowed her to schedule her day well.  There is now a fixed time to attend to her farm and a fixed time for her other responsibilities.

Moreover, with the money she saves is going to a better education for her children.
